MAYOR ALEXANDROS PARISIS AWARDED MR. VIKTOR RESTIS
You will remember the difficult period of January-February earthquakes, the ship-owner Viktor Restis had selflessly offered one of his cruise ships for residual purposes to the people who were anticipating problems with their homes. Mr. Restis was then located in Kefalonia with his family and was greeted by Mayor Alexandros Parisis at City Hall. They talked about the time of the earthquakes and the Mayor thanked Mr. Restis and wife Corina Resti for his humanitarian actions, which helped the citizens of Kefalonias at that difficult period. The Mayor along with the Tourism Deputy Mayor Evagellos. Kekatos, presented Mr. Restis the board of the municipality and an ecclesiastical picture. The Mayor while deeply moved remembered again those difficult hours of the island but also remembered his very good friend and father of Victor Restis. The conversation was held in a very cordial atmosphere and the Mayor stressed out how modest was Mrs. Corina Resti at that difficult time, by not making statements to reporters, keeping a low profile, although she belongs to the journalism industry. Mr. Restis wished to Kefalonia never to relive those difficult moments as of January-February.
